Enjoy your Halloween this year with some wholesome treats that are better for your hypoglycemia, diabetes, or food allergies. These great low sugar and fun Halloween party treat ideas are also great for children that are sensitive to high sugar foods.

Pumpkin Seeds
Save the pumpkin seeds from your carved Halloween pumpkin. Lightly cover them in cinnamon and toast them briefly in the oven for a protein-packed delicious Halloween treat.

Low Sugar Halloween Cookies
Want to enjoy some spooky ghost or vampire cookies but cannot eat the sugary cookies slathered in sugary icing from the local grocery store? If you have time, you can make your own delicious cookies by baking up an oatmeal cookie recipe with half the sugar and whole wheat flower instead of regular flour. Instead of covering the cookies with tons of sugary icing, you can use a little bit of honey and a light dab of orange sprinkles on each cookie. If you do not have time to bake your own cookies, ask the local bakery to make you a batch of low sugar cookies in the shapes of ghastly ghouls and bats.

Frankenstein Muffins
Add green food coloring to your favorite whole wheat muffin recipe. Get ghoulish Halloween decorations from the grocery store to add a spooky Halloween touch. Enjoy your Frankenstein muffins without worrying about your diabetes or hypoglycemia.

Poisoned Apple Slices with Vampire Peanut Butter
Slice delicious green apples onto a party tray. Add red food coloring to a bowl of peanut butter. Offer up the apple slices with the vampire peanut butter for a freaky and yummy treat.

Halloween Finger Pudding
Make up a batch of your favorite low sugar pudding. Buy a bag of eyes and fake fingers from the local dollar store. Mix in the eyeballs and fingers in the pudding. Make sure the pieces are large enough to see and do not present a choking hazard if any small children are present.

Severed Head Salsa
Offer a bowl of mild salsa with whole grain chips. In the middle of the salsa, place a plastic doll head (cleaned well). This is a great Halloween treat if you have hypoglycemia or diabetes.

Worm and Spider Jello
Make a bowl of low sugar Jello. As the Jello sets, add in gummy spiders and worms. Many candy stores also offer low sugar gummy worms. Stay away from the sugary super sour gummy worms, as those often have more sugar than the regular batch.

Halloween Slime Punch
Mix a bowl of Crystal Lite and soda water. Add green food coloring. For added grossness, peel a cup of grapes and add them to the punch bowl for eyeballs.
